Well I did record it, but it's aDVD movie file and I didn't manage to convert it.

I am assuming you are on a Mac. Opening a DamnedMediaGods (DMG) on a Windows machine is near impossible without loading a whole bunch of other programs. However, you should be able to convert the file to an ISO image file (slow process, though) that can be burned on DVD and then played just about anywhere.
